How would you make this wooden slide.

I have a customer that wants me to build him a wooden slide with a bend in it at the bottom. While it's not quite a spiral it's still more then just a straight shot. I am thinking of making ribs out of plywood kind of like a boat and then laminating bending plywood inside the ribs to make the trough. Don't know how I will finish off the outside yet.
