I don't use wipe on poly often, so a year ago I was asked to refinish a wood bowl, so I bought some salad bowl wipe on poly and it seemed to take forever to dry, dissatisfied with that I put it away. Now a year later I received another wood bowl for refinishing. I got out the same salad bowl poly and wiped on a coat and it seemed to dry in less than a hour, so I gave it a second coat and it also dried in less than an hour. Now I'm confused, does wipe on poly dry that fast or is the poly old or did I do it wrong the first time ?
