I was looking for ideas for slides on adining room extension table. I found an article by Jeff Miller inFine Woodworking (#182, January, 2006) using Accurite heavy dutymetal drawer slides, instead of the more traditional wood or metalslides. Jeff framed the drawer slides in a shop made hardwood frame, Iassume to add rigidity to the slides.
In searching this forum I found anentry about a year ago from Enrique Bava who used drawer guides likethis and had problems. But here's Fine Woodworking showing an articlerecommending these guides.
Has anyone used drawer slides for anextension table.? My table is not large, it's 36” X 48” with two12” leaves so it won't put a lot of stress on the slides.
